Campaign Launch Against Roy Cooper’s Senate Bid
Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America announced a significant $4.5 million campaign aimed at undermining Democrat Roy Cooper’s attempt to secure an Open US Senate seat in North Carolina. This initiative was unveiled on Thursday by Pack Out Pack.
The funds will help support efforts to connect with approximately 1 million voters by the 2026 Election Day. This plan includes digital advertisements, voter outreach emails, and a robust early voting campaign. According to prominent pro-life organizations, the main focus will be on regions like Charlotte, Raleigh, Fayetteville, and the Triad, aiming to reach pro-life voters who may not consistently participate in midterm elections.
“We’ve never been more determined. With the tragic murder of pro-life advocate Charlie Kirk, it’s now our responsibility in the pro-life movement to carry on his legacy,” stated Kayla Collins, the field director for SBA. “This shocking act of violence only reinforces our commitment to engage voters and secure victories.”
Cooper, a former governor of North Carolina, is campaigning to take over the Senate seat currently held by Tom Tillis, who has decided against running for a third term. Reports indicate that Tillis’s decision followed declining approval ratings linked to his association with Trump. Cooper is expected to face off against former Republican National Committee chairman Michael Wailey, who received support from Donald Trump during the 2026 general election.
SBA Pro-Life America criticized Cooper for his close ties to the abortion industry. They referenced his rejection of a natural bill and another that sought to restrict abortions after 12 weeks.
“Cooper’s track record is unmistakable. He is an advocate for pro-abortion policies and must be defeated in this Senate race. He even dismissed a bill designed to provide critical care for infants born alive following an attempted abortion,” said officials from the organization. “We are prepared to unveil Cooper’s extreme positions and keep voters motivated as we aim to reach 1 million voters over the next 13 months.”
The organization has reported its success across six election cycles since 2014, engaging with 31 million voters in key battleground states. They claimed to have reached over 575,000 voters in North Carolina alone during 2024.
Additionally, SBA Pro-Life America has announced other investments totaling $2.5 million for Senate races in states like Michigan and Georgia.
