Cowboys’ Jerry Jones Makes Waves After Jets Victory

In a recent matchup at MetLife Stadium, Jerry Jones, owner of the Dallas Cowboys, stirred up some controversy among New York Jets fans after his team secured a 37-22 win. Footage shared by former Cowboys player Des Bryant showed Jones making an obscene gesture while cheering for his team.

“I stopped playing with Jerry Jones,” Bryant mentioned in a post on social media.

The Cowboys’ owner might face repercussions for his actions, as Fox News Digital has reached out to both the NFL and the Cowboys for comments on the situation. There have been previous incidents where owners received fines for similar gestures; for instance, former Tennessee Titans owner Bud Adams was fined $250,000 after he made “indecent gestures” at fans following a victory over the Buffalo Bills. In 2023, Carolina Panthers owner David Tepper was fined as well for throwing a drink at Jaguars fans.

On a more positive note for Jones, there was certainly much to celebrate after the game.

Jets’ Struggles Continue

The Jets now find themselves in an unpleasant position, starting the season with an 0-5 record. Meanwhile, Dak Prescott stood out during the game, throwing four touchdown passes, including two that connected with tight end Jake Ferguson. Additionally, he found George Pickens and Javonte Williams for scores.

“We’re spoiled,” admitted Dallas head coach Brian Schottenheimer when discussing Prescott. “I think he’s one of the best players in the league. He’s an exceptional leader and teammate.” Fans could be heard chanting “MVP” for Prescott during the game.

Reflecting on the victory, Prescott emphasized the team’s confidence: “I think it’s important to wipe the slate clean and focus on what we can achieve.” His desire to remove the lingering negative feelings from previous outings was clear.

Overcoming Criticism

Despite earlier criticism regarding a controversial trade involving Mika Parsons, the Cowboys have managed to turn their record around to 2-2-1.
