Rubin's Assistant Enticed Women for His 'Sex Dungeon'

Assistant to Financial Figure Accused of Sex Trafficking

The personal assistant of Howard Rubin, a notable financier connected to George Soros, faces serious accusations of luring women into sexual exploitation to sustain her lavish lifestyle. Jennifer Powers has pleaded guilty to sex trafficking and admitted to transporting women across state lines for sexual acts involving her employer, as reported recently.

As noted by some outlets, Rubin, who managed funds for Soros, is at the center of human trafficking allegations involving a Manhattan penthouse referred to as a “sex dungeon.”

Federal prosecutors claim that Rubin financed nearly all aspects of Powers’s lifestyle from 2018 to 2023, including expenses for New York apartments, credit card bills, and private school tuition for children.

Powers and her husband, Stephen, are also facing charges related to allegations that they knowingly filed a joint tax return from 2018 to 2024.

Powers, formerly an alternative teacher in Southlake, Texas, has no longer any ties to the school district, which emphasized that these allegations are unrelated to her previous employment. The district has reported the situation to the state board overseeing educator accreditation.

Authorities have claimed that Rubin and his assistant spent upwards of $8 million over several years, and he is accused of coaxing women to high-end hotels and penthouses.

Rubin, who has a background managing funds for Soros and previously worked with Salomon Brothers, allegedly spent over $1 million to facilitate this illicit scheme, coercing victims into signing private agreements and disregarding safety protocols during violent encounters.

Powers has been released on an $850,000 bond and has been placed under house arrest with an ankle monitor.
