Chiefs gift signed items from Patrick Mahomes to a 10-year-old boy

The Chiefs stepped up for a young fan who had a distressing experience during a football game, where he was unfortunately separated from his favorite player by an adult.

Joey Masters gained attention after the Chiefs’ game against the Giants at MetLife Stadium on September 21, where Patrick Mahomes was momentarily taken away from him by Nina Miller, who was attempting to reach him.

A TikTok video recently surfaced showing how the Chiefs rectified the situation by sending Masters a bundle of merchandise and signed memorabilia.

This video was posted by an account claiming to have “direct contact with Joey’s family.”

In the video, Joey is unboxing the Chiefs’ gear and is thrilled to discover a Mahomes autographed jersey among the items.

The package also included a headband, hat, flag, foam fingers, and a water bottle signed by Mahomes.

These gifts seem to align with the sentiments expressed by Tavia Hunt, the wife of Chiefs Owner Clark Hunt.

She shared her thoughts in a follow-up Instagram story, mentioning her family’s ongoing surprises.

Miller has apologized since the incident, though she initially tried to justify her actions before eventually taking responsibility.

During an appearance on “Inside Edition,” she expressed her remorse to the Masters and offered to return the headband.

“Sorry, honey. That’s true. I swear,” Miller conveyed to the Masters.

In response, Masters, displaying generosity, told Miller, “I believe in you.”

When she suggested sending back the souvenir, he responded enthusiastically, “Thank you for sending it back. That would be amazing.”

However, comments on the account suggest that Miller may not have returned the headband to Joey after all.

The account expressed gratitude towards the team for making things right.
