Breitbart Editor Declares Victory in Culture War

Jerome Hudson, the Entertainment Editor at Breitbart News, recently expressed a sense of triumph during the National Federation of Republican Women’s 43rd biennial conference, addressing an audience of over 1,000 women. He proclaimed, “We are winning the culture war. Hollywood has collapsed. Finally, a new day has arrived.”

He credited the rise of conservative values in the cultural arena to Andrew Breitbart’s notion that politics is shaped by culture. Hudson reminisced about the cultural shifts seen over the years, mentioning the impact of the sitcom Will and Grace, which dominated ratings from 2001 to 2005. He contrasted that with how, just a decade later, the Supreme Court ruled against traditional marriage.

Hudson humorously noted the significant leap into mainstream culture for transgender issues, linking it to Bruce Jenner’s public transition. This elicited laughter from the audience, highlighting how humor can often underscore serious discussions.

He also referred to Al Gore’s documentary, The Inconvenient Truth, which sparked a decade-long dialogue on climate change. However, Hudson pointed out that a British court later found several inaccuracies in the film, calling attention to the fleeting nature of its influence. “By then, Greta Thunberg was already born!” he quipped.

Discussing Hollywood’s influence from 2014 to 2019, Hudson claimed Family Planning had guided the production of over 150 projects, intertwining narratives that often promoted specific agendas. He critiqued figures like Lena Dunham for their contributions to what he termed ‘abortion propaganda’ in films.

In his commentary, he reflected on the drastic transformation of Disney over the past five decades, alluding to its shift from being family-oriented to partaking in more controversial societal discussions. He discussed how prominent figures in Hollywood have consistently rallied behind various Democratic initiatives over the years.

Hudson emphasized the overwhelming advantages the Left has enjoyed historically across various sectors—media, sports, academia, and beyond. He shared how, amidst adversity, Donald Trump’s candidacy offered many the courage to resist these prevailing forces.

He also recounted how President Trump managed to stymie Hillary Clinton’s trajectory, painting a vivid picture of the political landscape colored by controversy and challenges.

In concluding his passionate address, Hudson reiterated a sentiment of victory: “We’re winning the culture war. Hollywood has collapsed. Celebrities are leaving the country or relocating from California to Central America. A new day has indeed arrived.” He encouraged those present to remain steadfast in their efforts for their families, communities, and the nation, invoking the legacy of Andrew Breitbart and urging continual activism.

“Thank you! And may God bless you all!”
