Melania Trump Claims Victory Over Book Publisher
First Lady Melania Trump recently shared news of her success against a book publisher that issued an apology for its “unverified claims.” The publisher, HarperCollins UK, announced it would remove certain content from the book.
In an official statement, the publisher confirmed it has taken down text from the book and retracted copies from circulation. Melania Trump made the announcement on her official social media platform.
“We have consulted with the author to remove some texts from the book that referenced unverified claims about the First Lady,” the statement reads.
The book in question, titled “Rise and Falling of the House of York,” is a biography of Prince Andrew, authored by Andrew Lawye, and came out on August 14.
The statement continues, “In consultation with the author, we have removed some text that referenced unverified claims about Melania Trump as First Lady. Copies containing these references have been permanently removed from distribution. HarperCollins UK apologizes to the First Lady.”
Claims made in the book allege that convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein was responsible for introducing Donald Trump, a private citizen at the time, to Melania.
These allegations have resulted in threats of legal action from the First Lady, notably directed at Hunter Biden, son of former President Joe Biden, who discussed the matter in a YouTube video.
Her lawyer’s letter stated, “These false, sloppy, slanderous, inflammatory statements are despicable and have proliferated across various digital platforms.” It also emphasized that this video has been circulated by numerous media outlets and political commentators, reaching millions worldwide.
A deadline of August 7 was set for Biden to respond to their demands or face a billion-dollar lawsuit. A source indicated that this deadline has not been met.
Biden later responded lighter through an interview, saying, “That won’t happen!”
