The 100 best standard running backs for fantasy football in Week 6

Week 6 Overview

Here we are, Week 6 of the season already! It’s been an interesting ride so far, but, you know, injuries keep piling up and it’s really disheartening for our fantasy teams. The latest casualty? Omarion Hampton. Just when it seemed like he might gain traction following Najee Harris’ injury, he’s now on the sidelines himself. It’s tough seeing James Conner and Trey Benson also get hurt. I mean, it feels almost like a cruel joke for those of us who invested in them! However, it appears running backs, for the most part, are faring better than wide receivers this year. So, does that mean the zero RB strategy is out of the question? Not quite, but every week shows us that even the strategies we thought were fail-proof can really throw us off track. It’s just so complicated to find a solid player who’s not only talented but also stays healthy. And let’s be real, fantasy football is not just about the draft; waivers and trades are crucial to finishing strong.

Minnesota Vikings and Houston Texans

Jordan Mason, Nick Chubb, Woody Marks

Omarion Hampton, Chargers

It’s really unfortunate news for the Chargers and those relying on Hampton in fantasy leagues. The rookie has suffered an ankle injury and will likely be on the injured list for at least four weeks. This means Hassan Haskins will likely step into the lead role, while Kimani Vidal is expected to take on backup duties.

Hubbard missed last week’s game, which allowed Rico Dowdle to have an impressive rush of over 200 yards. If Hubbard makes a comeback this week against the Cowboys, it might be hard to ignore Dowdle’s standout performance, especially since he’s returning to the team he started with last season.

Irving was out last week due to shoulder and foot injuries, but there’s a chance he could play against the Lions in Monday night’s game. If he does, Rachaad White will continue to lead. Last week, he carried the ball 14 times for 41 yards, scoring two touchdowns, and he caught four passes for 30 yards.

The Steelers running back took a bye week to recover from a knee issue and seems primed to return for their matchup against the Browns in Week 6. It’s a challenging game ahead, though he was gaining significant touches before his injury.
