Bad Bunny faced significant backlash on Tuesday night after he reportedly stayed seated during the “God Bless America” performance at Yankee Stadium, where the New York Yankees were playing the Toronto Blue Jays in a playoff game.

A photo surfaced showing the Grammy-winning artist sitting with friends, not too far behind home plate, while fans around him stood with their hands on their chests. A video highlighted the crowd singing along as he remained seated.

FOX News Digital has reached out to both Bad Bunny’s agency and the Yankees for a statement.

When images were analyzed, there were no alerts triggered.

Bad Bunny first garnered national attention after being announced as a performer for the Super Bowl LV halftime show. Since then, his comments regarding U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) have also attracted some notice.

He had previously mentioned that he didn’t schedule the U.S. segment of his tour due to worries about fans potentially being detained by ICE. “The issue was that ICE could be outside, for example, my concert. That was a topic we were discussing and pretty worried about,” he explained in an interview with iD.

In June, he shared footage of what he labeled a local ICE raid in Puerto Rico on social media.

In his remarks, he expressed frustration about ICE operations in Puerto Rico, particularly highlighting an incident where he noted, “These mothers are in this car, a RAV-4. They’re here in Pontezuela,” criticizing how they handle people.

Since then, Bad Bunny has made appearances at various sporting events in the U.S. and even hosted “Saturday Night Live.”
