Arch Manning gets supportive advice from a Texas alum during a tough season.

After some limited action backing up Quinn Ewers in his first two years at the University of Texas, Arch Manning has started his first full season since late August.

In the season opener against Ohio State, he threw for 170 yards, but Texas fell short. They managed to bounce back, winning the next three games. Yet, a loss to Florida in Week 6 sparked doubts about whether Manning could meet the high expectations placed on him.

Former Texas running back Bijan Robinson, now with the Atlanta Falcons, shared his thoughts on Manning’s challenging start to the 2025 season. He emphasized the importance of staying consistent, tuning out distractions, and leaning on one’s support system.

During a recent TV appearance, Robinson stated, “I want to continue to be consistent.” He went on to say that players should not focus too much on media narratives as they can either guide or hinder a career. He reassured that Manning has support from his coach, Steve Sarkisian, and others around him.

In Week 4, Manning had his best game so far, leading Texas to a 55-0 rout of Sam Houston State with 309 passing yards, three touchdown passes, and two rushing scores.

However, Florida’s defense managed to contain him last Saturday, and he ended the game with two touchdowns and two interceptions in a tight 29-21 loss.

So far this season, Manning has started five games, accumulated 1,151 passing yards, and thrown 11 touchdowns alongside five interceptions. His mobility remained a strong point, racking up 160 rushing yards and five rushing touchdowns.
