Disturbing Find on Ibiza Beach
Beachgoers in Ibiza were shocked when they stumbled upon a human foot washed ashore at Playa d’en Bossa, a popular beach, early Friday morning.
A man walking along the shore discovered the foot among storm debris and quickly alerted the authorities. By around 8 a.m. local time, several Spanish National Police patrols had arrived at the scene.
Photos from the scene show police and investigators in high-visibility vests examining the area, while curious onlookers gather nearby. To maintain the integrity of the investigation, authorities cordoned off part of the beach.
The man who found the foot reportedly used sticks to secure it to prevent it from being swept back into the water, according to local sources.
Witnesses included guests from the nearby Hotel Vibra Algarve and locals heading to gyms or shops. One local commented on the incident, saying it left many residents and tourists confused as they walked along the beach.
As of now, police have not yet identified the origin of the severed limb. Officials stated, “We have not ruled out any hypothesis and are continuing to work to establish the facts.” Further details about the investigation remain unavailable.
This unsettling discovery comes just days after a decomposing body was found floating close to Talamanca Bay on October 7, which was subsequently recovered by maritime authorities. However, investigators haven’t confirmed any connection between the two incidents.
The Spanish National Police have been contacted for more information.
