Concerns Over Commercial Driver’s Licenses for Illegal Aliens in New York City
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has disclosed that New York City issued a commercial driver’s license to an undocumented immigrant under the name “No Name Given.” This revelation raises serious questions about the city’s sanctuary policies.
DHS took to X, stating, “Want to know what a corrupt sanctuary New York City is? They gave commercial driver’s licenses to illegal aliens and actually issued them to ‘No Name Given.'” The agency emphasized the diligence of @ICEgov personnel in tackling public safety threats.
According to a report, DHS is collaborating with the U.S. Department of Transportation and local law enforcement to curb illegal immigrants from operating semi-trucks on highways.
The individual in question, known as Anmol Anmol, was taken into custody by Oklahoma Highway Patrol and ICE agents. He possessed a commercial driver’s license from New York that listed him as “NO NAME GIVEN.”
This case comes in the wake of another incident involving an illegal immigrant named Harjinder Singh, who was linked to a tragic accident resulting in the deaths of three Americans. Singh had been driving a semi-truck and attempted a U-turn in a restricted area of the highway.
DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin responded, stating, “Allowing illegal aliens to obtain commercial driver’s licenses to drive 18-wheelers and transport hazardous materials on America’s roads is reckless and extremely dangerous.”
Anmol, originally from India, entered the U.S. in 2023 and was apprehended during a routine inspection at a truck scale on Interstate 40.
The ongoing efforts to address this issue reflect a broader concern about ensuring the safety of Americans on the roads, particularly regarding the operation of commercial vehicles by individuals lacking legal status.
