The Showgirls Have Arrived

Taylor Swift, who recently launched her 12th studio album, “The Life of a Showgirl,” just a week ago, made her first appearance at an NFL game this season by attending the Chiefs-Lions matchup on Sunday night.

The 35-year-old singer was spotted in a suite alongside Caitlin Clark during NBC’s broadcast, which aired late in the first quarter.

The Chiefs were hoping to recover from their previous loss to the Jaguars, where they fell 31-28 on Monday Night Football. Interestingly, Swift had to miss that game as she was busy on “The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon,” where she excitedly discussed her engagement to Kelsey.

Kelsey proposed in August at their Missouri home, and they officially shared the engagement news on August 26.

Swift, currently promoting her album, has attended two NFL games this season so far. Those included the Chiefs’ narrow 20-17 defeat against the Eagles and a victory against the Ravens, where the score was 37-20. During her last appearances at Arrowhead Stadium, she had a discreet presence and wasn’t featured prominently on the broadcasts.

A video that circulated on social media during the Super Bowl rematch between the Chiefs and Eagles showed Swift walking by a screen to her suite — it definitely grabbed the attention of fans. After the Super Bowl earlier this year, it seems the couple decided to scale back on their public appearances.

Fortunately for fans, Swift offered glimpses into her relationship while promoting “The Life of a Showgirl,” where she enthusiastically talked about Kelsey and her eye-catching engagement ring in different interviews.

As for her wedding plans, she admitted that she hasn’t really started planning anything yet, mainly because she’s deeply focused on the album release.

On the “New Heights” podcast, Kelsey couldn’t resist chuckling as he referenced Swift’s sultry new single ‘Wood’ — a track with some risqué lyrics that fans speculate might relate to his masculinity.

When his brother, former Eagles center Jason Kelce, prodded him for a reaction to the lyrics, Kelsey played it cool.

When asked if he felt “cocky” about being Swift’s inspiration for her songs, Travis downplayed it, saying, “No.” He emphasized his love for her, saying, “Every song where she mentions me in some way or form.” Kelsey also called “Wood” a great song while joking that listeners might not fully grasp the lyrics.
