KISS Guitarist Ace Frehley Allegedly On Life Support Following Serious Health Emergency

Update on Ace Frehley’s Health

Ace Frehley, the guitarist known for his role in KISS, is reportedly on life support after experiencing a cerebral hemorrhage due to a fall. Sources close to Frehley have mentioned that he fell in the studio a few weeks ago, which led to the cancellation of his upcoming tour dates.

As of October 16, sources indicated to TMZ that his condition had remained unchanged, and he was still on a ventilator. Unfortunately, the outlook is not optimistic, and there’s speculation that his family might decide to turn off the life support soon.

There have been erroneous reports on social media suggesting that he had passed away; however, as of Thursday afternoon, he was still alive, albeit on life support.

On September 25, Frehley’s official Instagram account shared a message about his fall, stating that he was in good spirits. Yet, it also noted that doctors had advised him against traveling for the time being. A week later, another update confirmed, “Due to ongoing medical issues, Ace has made the difficult decision to cancel the remainder of his 2025 dates.”

Frehley is a founding member of KISS, alongside Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley, and Peter Criss. He was part of the band from its inception in 1973 until 1982, showcasing his impressive guitar skills before eventually leaving due to creative differences and substance misuse issues.

After leaving KISS, he formed Frehley’s Comet and continued to pursue a solo career. His work contributed to iconic songs like “Rock and Roll All Night,” “I Was Made for Lovin’ You,” and “Detroit Rock City.”
