Caitlin Clark to Compete in LPGA Tour Event This Fall

WNBA standout Caitlin Clark is set to trade her basketball for golf once again this fall. The Indiana Fever guard will take part in the Annika Pro-Am, an LPGA Tour event, next month, according to the organizers.

The 2025 Annika Pro-Am is scheduled to kick off on November 12 in Bellaire, Florida. This year, golf legend Annika Sorenstam will return to host the event.

This tournament marks the last full-field regular season competition of the year, featuring a hefty prize pool of $3.25 million.

Reflecting on her previous participation, Clark shared, “It was a great time.” She added, “I had such a wonderful experience at the Annika last November, especially playing alongside Nelly Korda and Annika Sorenstam, who are truly top-tier talent.” She expressed enthusiasm for returning to Tampa, saying, “I’m honored to serve as a corporate ambassador for Gainbridge, which is devoted to promoting women’s sports. I can’t wait to hit the course with some of the best female golfers in the world.”

After being named WNBA Rookie of the Year in 2024, Clark faced setbacks in the 2025 season due to injuries, appearing in only 13 games while averaging 16.5 points and 8.8 assists. Nevertheless, the Fever managed to beat the Atlanta Dream in the first round and secured their first playoff series win in a decade, although they were defeated by the Aces in the semifinals.

Sorenstam reminisced about her experience playing with Clark last year, commending the young athlete’s “passion for golf.” She said, “It was truly an honor to play in the Pro-Am with Caitlin. The crowd’s energy was incredible, and I’m excited for her return in November. She brought a unique dynamic to our event, and it was fantastic to see her love for golf and competition.”
