White House Joins Blue Sky, Posts Trump Clips
On Friday, the White House made a splash by signing up for the liberal-leaning social media platform Blue Sky, joyfully sharing some of President Donald Trump’s most memorable moments.
In its first post, the Trump administration seemed to poke fun at Blue Sky’s more liberal audience, who had migrated there seeking less conservative content. Many notable figures who used Twitter—now rebranded as X since Elon Musk’s takeover—have shifted to Blue Sky.
“What’s up, Blue Sky? I thought you might have missed some of our greatest hits, so I put this together for you,” the post said, linking to a collection of popular regime memes.
Vice President J.D. Vance recently urged Musk to remain committed to the Trump-supporting wing of the Republican Party amid discussions about third-party alternatives.
The 52-second video included excerpts from Trump’s rallies and his interactions with international leaders. It opened with him addressing the audience, stating, “My fellow Americans, our movement is not over yet. In fact, our fight has just begun.” He emphasized unity by saying, “We are one movement, one people, one family, and one glorious nation under God.”
After that, it showcased several key memes from the administration. These featured an image of President Joe Biden accompanied by an autopen, a humorous “Daddy’s Home” meme highlighting NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte’s catchphrase, and a comical image of House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries with a sombrero and mustache. One particularly amusing moment included an AI-generated picture of Trump as the Pope.
Blue Sky gained traction after Musk acquired Twitter in 2022 and continued to rise after Trump’s victory in the November 2024 presidential election. Interestingly, Vice President Vance had joined the platform back in June.
Vance also made a welcome post on Blue Sky, mentioning he was looking forward to engaging in discussions that resonated with common sense and analysis. His initial post faced a brief ban due to a flagging error, which was later corrected by the platform, affirming their openness to his contributions.
Recently, he shared an AI video of Trump adorned with a crown, responding to protests against monarchy.
The White House wasn’t alone in this new venture; multiple agencies from the Trump administration, including the Departments of Transportation, Health and Human Services, and Homeland Security, also opened Blue Sky accounts the same day.
