Sabrina Carpenter didn’t hold back during her live performance on “Saturday Night Live” last night, dropping the F-bomb twice.
The 26-year-old pop singer took on the dual role of host and musical guest, performing “Nobody’s Sun” from her album *Man’s Best Friend*. When she sang the line “He sure fucked me,” she let the expletive fly without any censorship.
While viewers on NBC and Peacock heard the uncensored version, it was edited out for the West Coast broadcast and later online versions.
Fans took to social media to react. One commented, “Sabrina talking about FK’s uncensored live show on SNL kills me.” Another said, “Yeah, NBC is about to get fined for making Sabrina fk twice on SNL.” There were questions too—did Sabrina mean to leave it uncensored, or was it an oversight by NBC? Someone tweeted, “Did NBC just accidentally forget about censorship?”
Carpenter performed “Nobody’s Son” in a striking martial arts-themed outfit, complete with a bejeweled white karate uniform. Earlier in the show, she had also sung “Manchild,” the lead single from her new album.
In her opening monologue, she joked about how people perceive her. “Now that I’m here, I want to clear up some misconceptions that people have about me,” she said. She mentioned how some think of her as just a “horndog pop star,” but insisted that there’s more to her—“I also love reading. My favorite book is an encyclopedia. It’s so big and so hard…”
After teasing her album’s cover, she quipped about the image, explaining, “Some people were a little surprised when they saw the cover. I don’t know why.” She humorously described it as a situation where she’s on her knees with someone invisible pulling her hair, adding, “If you zoom out, it’s clearly a photo from Bowen’s 50th anniversary special.”
Later in her monologue, Carpenter interacted with the audience, asking them about their jobs but quickly moved on after one mentioned “venture capital.”
