Kenny Loggins criticizes the use of his song in the AI Trump video, stating it was made solely to create division.

Kenny Loggins has voiced his disapproval of President Donald Trump’s recent AI-generated video. The musician, famous for tracks like “I’m Alright” and “Footloose,” reacted publicly after Trump shared a video on Truth Social that featured clips from Loggins’ popular song “Danger Zone.”

The video, posted on Saturday night, depicted Trump apparently pouring what looked like feces on No Kings protesters while flying a fighter jet.

In a statement from his residence, Loggins expressed, “This is an unauthorized use of my ‘Danger Zone’ performance. Nobody asked for my permission, which I would have declined, and I demand that this recording be removed immediately.” He emphasized that he couldn’t understand why anyone would want their music linked to material intended to divide people. “We need to seek ways to unite instead of allowing divisive forces to tear us apart,” he added. “We are all Americans and patriots; it’s not about ‘us vs. them.’ It’s about all of us together. I hope we can use music as a means of celebration and unity.”

As of Monday, the video, accompanied by “Danger Zone,” remained on Trump’s Truth Social page.

Loggins isn’t alone in his stance; other musicians have previously requested that Trump refrain from using their songs. Over the past few years, several artists, including the Foo Fighters, Beyoncé, and ABBA, have similarly urged the Trump administration not to use their music in rallies or campaigns.

On a related note, comedian Theo Fung, who attended Trump’s inauguration, recently asked the Department of Homeland Security to stop using his videos to promote deportation initiatives.

In response to the ongoing protests at “No Kings” rallies nationwide, Trump remarked on Sunday night that he is “not a king” and claimed he was “doing a good job.” He concluded with an optimistic note about making the country great again.
