Mysterious Drone Panic Linked to Unconventional Aircraft
A private company showcased a unique aircraft at a significant Army conference, claiming it was connected to a mysterious drone panic that affected New Jersey and the East Coast in 2024, according to official sources.
During the UAS and Launched Effects Summit at Fort Rucker, a civilian contractor asserted that it was behind the strange drone incidents that occurred in New Jersey in November 2024. The company demonstrated an aircraft that had an unusual design and flight patterns, impressing those in attendance.
Post-demonstration, an employee from the contractor spoke to a small group, stating, “Do you remember the big UFO scare in New Jersey last year? That was us,” as recounted by several attendees. The individual further explained that they were testing their aircraft in New Jersey during that time and did not need to inform the public due to a private government contract.
The aircraft presented at the summit was about 20 feet long and had four wings, which had been documented in video footage sent to the government. It flew smoothly just above the trees, catching the eyes of many soldiers on the ground. A military veteran and drone specialist who witnessed the event described the aircraft as having an “uncanny valley-like feel,” highlighting how it seemed to vanish during turns—perhaps explaining the reported UFO sightings in the area.
The drone scare in New Jersey began on November 13, 2024, over the Picatinny Arsenal Army Base and persisted throughout the state until early December. In January, the FAA under President Trump stated that many of these mysterious drone sightings were attributed to hobbyists and recreational pilots. However, the new information shared at the Army summit adds a different angle to some of these reports.
The Army opted not to comment on the situation, citing the ongoing federal government shutdown.
