George Springer’s Wife Reacts to Blue Jays’ ALCS Victory
Following the Blue Jays’ thrilling Game 7 win over the Mariners in the ALCS, George Springer’s wife expressed her emotions on Instagram. After a dramatic 4-3 victory, where Springer’s three-run homer secured the team’s first World Series appearance since 1993, Charlize Springer shared a photo of him with the William Harridge Trophy, captioning it simply: “I’m not feeling well.”
In another post, she highlighted some impressive stats about Springer, who has been a Blue Jay since 2021, noting his 23 home runs, which ties him for third all-time in postseason home runs.
Springer’s heroic performance in the series finale will be remembered in Blue Jays history. In the seventh inning, he launched a 381-foot blast into the left-field stands, putting Toronto ahead 4-3—a lead they maintained for the win.
Blue Jays manager John Schneider remarked, “Our order was the worst, so we were able to do it again. There is probably no one else on earth that I admire more than George Springer and his October Magic.”
Charlize, who has been married to Springer for seven years, also shared a video of him celebrating shirtless on the Rogers Center field for a victory lap. The caption read, “The hero of Game 7 is on the field.”
The celebrations extended beyond the players; Charlize joined Natalie Guerrero, the wife of ALCS MVP Vlad Guerrero Jr., to watch the confetti fall.
The Blue Jays, who previously won back-to-back World Series in 1992 and 1993, are gearing up for a challenging matchup against a formidable Dodgers team, hoping to replicate their past success. “The job is not done yet. We have four games left,” Guerrero Jr. emphasized.
At 36, Springer previously won a World Series with the Astros in 2017 before signing a six-year, $150 million deal with the Blue Jays. He and Charlize, parents to two young kids, married in 2018. Game 1 of the 2025 World Series is set to kick off Friday in Toronto.
