Lori Loughlin is reportedly feeling “betrayed” by her estranged husband, Mossimo Giannulli. This revelation follows a claim from a friend of Loughlin’s, who allegedly told Page Six that she discovered “incriminating texts and emails” on her phone.
“It’s not a happy situation for her,” the friend stated. They noted that Loughlin and Giannulli are in quite different places emotionally right now, making any reconciliation seem unlikely.
It’s reported that their relationship deteriorated significantly following their involvement in the highly publicized college admissions scandal back in 2019, which, as many say, “strained their marriage.”
Both Loughlin and Giannulli served time in prison after admitting to paying $500,000 to a fixer in order to get their daughters, Olivia Jade, 26, and Isabella, 27, admitted to the University of Southern California as rowing recruits under false pretenses.
“The situation was never the same,” an insider mentioned. Representatives for Loughlin did not respond to requests for comments, while Giannulli stated he had “zero comments.”
A friend of Loughlin shared that the real turning point in their relationship was her discovery of text messages on Giannulli’s phone. This friend claimed that for years, “Mossimo has been taking advantage of Lori.” They expressed that she had hoped for change upon his release from prison, but things reportedly worsened.
Although Loughlin and Giannulli have separated, there are no legal proceedings currently underway regarding their divorce.
After the breakup, Loughlin was seen in good spirits at her Los Angeles home, having already thrown away her wedding ring.
Her former “Full House” co-star, John Stamos, has publicly defended Loughlin, calling her a “saint.” He acknowledged trying to support her during tough times, particularly in relation to her divorce and the scandal. “She’s going to jail for three months because of this,” he remarked during an appearance on the podcast “Good Guys.”
