Snoop Dogg succumbs to social pressure and releases LGBTQ song for kids

A few months ago, Snoop Dogg expressed strong criticism of children’s entertainment that includes LGBTQ+ themes. Now, he seems to have changed course significantly, which could be seen as a defeat.

The rapper has teamed up with the LGBTQ+ organization GLAAD to produce a new song called “Love Is Love” for his kids’ animated series, Doggyland.

This song showcases an animated dog family that includes a same-sex couple, a single dog, and an elderly dog. The lyrics say, “We’re all different, no two are the same, but one thing’s for sure: love never changes.”

“’Love Is Love’ is a record that my children’s show ‘Doggyland’ has brought to life. It’s a song about how love is unconditional. It teaches parenting through music, dance, and melodies in a way that addresses issues children are curious about regarding the world today. We aim to promote understanding and clarity in how we live,” Snoop shared in an interview with Jeremy Beroate, who also appears in the music video.

He continued, “We believe this music can bridge understanding. This program, developed over years, addresses the questions children have. We hope to help them lead happy lives by embracing that love is love.”

In response to Snoop’s previous comments about not being fully committed to LGBTQ+ themes, BlazeTV contributor Shemeka Michelle remarked, “Snoop just shows he’ll go anywhere for money. He lacks morals and values; he’s not a real gangster.” Jason Whitlock, a host on BlazeTV, echoed her sentiment, saying that while some may talk big, they quickly retract when it comes to LGBTQ+ topics.

“This is, frankly, one of the most disturbing songs I’ve ever come across,” he remarked.
