Harris Addresses Questions on Biden’s Campaign and Health

Former Vice President Kamala Harris was asked multiple times about her ability to express concerns regarding former President Joe Biden’s re-election efforts and the secrecy surrounding his health status.

In a recent BBC interview with Laura Kuenssberg, Harris acknowledged having worries about Biden’s presidential campaign but clarified that she does not doubt his capacity to serve effectively as president. She expressed some regret for not discussing her concerns with him, fearing it might seem selfish.

“This historical context is crucial,” Harris said, alluding to the ongoing speculation about Biden. She noted that even before he announced his decision to withdraw from the race, questions had already arisen about the implications of his health. Kuenssberg pointed out that Biden did not confront her vulnerabilities, nor did she address his, which she found unusual.

Harris countered, asserting, “There’s a significant difference between being capable of serving as president and of running for the presidency.”

After a difficult debate, she quipped about Biden, “Are you kidding?” while highlighting concerns related to stamina and energy needed to navigate a political campaign compared to the day-to-day responsibilities of the Oval Office. She reiterated, “My focus was never on whether he can be president.”

Kuenssberg questioned if this perspective sends a confusing message to the public, implying it may be harder to campaign than to fulfill presidential duties. “Did you feel like you couldn’t raise this issue?” she asked.

Harris emphasized that her concerns were rooted in the demands placed on any candidate, independent of their age.

In the same interview, Harris hinted about future ambitions, stating, “It’s not over yet.” Her commitment to public service remains strong, saying, “I’m not done yet; it’s in my bones.”

In related news, Harris labeled former President Donald Trump a “tyrant” and accused various business leaders of yielding to his demands.
