Trump describes MRI scan as 'perfect' while on Air Force One to Tokyo

Trump Discusses MRI Results While Traveling to Tokyo

President Donald Trump shared details about his recent MRI scan with reporters on Air Force One during his trip to Tokyo on Monday. “It was perfect, yeah,” he remarked, adding that they had conducted thorough tests and everything came back great.

At 79, Trump holds the record as the oldest individual to have assumed the presidency and is also the second-oldest to have served in that role.

Earlier this month, Trump’s doctor confirmed that he was in “excellent health” following a standard semi-annual medical exam at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.

The president’s physician, Navy Capt. Sean P. Barbavera, stated that Trump is demonstrating impressive health across various metrics, including cardiovascular, pulmonary, neurological, and physical performance. Besides, he received updated COVID-19 and flu vaccinations to prepare for his international engagements.

This marks Trump’s second medical checkup this year; a similar examination happened back in April, with the doctor reporting then that he was in good condition.

In July, Trump was diagnosed with a chronic vein issue known as chronic venous insufficiency. At that point, White House Press Secretary Caroline Levitt mentioned that Trump had noticed “mild swelling” in his lower legs, which led to a referral to the medical team.

Levitt explained that the bruising on Trump’s hands was due to “frequent handshaking and the use of aspirin,” a standard part of his preventative cardiovascular care.
