It feels like déjà vu.
The World Series is returning to Los Angeles for the second consecutive year this October.
Last season, Mookie Betts and the Dodgers shone brightly against Aaron Judge’s Yankees in the first two games at Dodger Stadium. This year, the lineup features stars like Betts, Ohtani, Freeman, Muncy, and Hernandez. After splitting the opening games at Toronto’s Rogers Center, they’ll now face off against Vladimir Guerrero Jr.’s Blue Jays in Games 3-5 of the Fall Classic.
Before the action begins, let’s dive into what we know about each game in LA.
Game 3
Monday, October 27th
Max Scherzer (1-0, 3.18 ERA) vs. Tyler Glasnow (0-0, 0.68 ERA)
Game 4
Tuesday, October 28th
Shane Bieber (1-0, ERA 4.38) vs. Shohei Ohtani (2-0, ERA 2.25)
Game 5
Wednesday, October 29th
undetermined vs. undetermined
If you’re thinking of attending, there are still last-minute tickets available.
In fact, some prices have dropped since our last update on October 21, when tickets were going for as low as $755, including fees.
Now, after just six days, you can find tickets starting at $688, fees included.
That’s a nice little saving of $67, if you didn’t have a calculator handy.
Plus, think of the incredible moments we could witness. Like when Addison Berger hit the first pinch-hit grand slam in World Series history in Game 1, or when Yoshinobu Yamamoto pulled off a phenomenal four-hit complete game.
Betts remarked, “I’ve been playing for a long time, and I’ve never seen anything like this.”
If you’re heading to Games 3-5, there are a few things to keep in mind.
Scherzer, the 41-year-old ace, could make history in Game 3 by being the first pitcher to compete in the World Series with four different teams, having previously played for the Tigers (2012), Nationals (2019), and Rangers (2023).
In Game 4, eyes will be on Shohei Ohtani as he makes his first World Series start.
As for Game 5? Well, that’s still up in the air, but it might very well mark the first time the Dodgers clinch a World Series in Los Angeles since 1963, when Sandy Koufax led them with two complete-game victories over the Yankees.
If you’re looking for more specifics before you make your plans, we’ve got you covered.
