Erica Kirk’s First Interview Since Husband’s Death
Erica Kirk, the widow of Charlie Kirk, the founder of Turning Point USA, will sit down for her first television interview since her husband’s assassination. The interview, conducted by Jesse Watters from Fox News, is scheduled for November 5. It will offer a behind-the-scenes look at Turning Point’s Arizona headquarters. Additionally, Watters plans to be present at a Turning Point event at Ole Miss on Wednesday, where Vice President J.D. Vance will engage with students.
This interview will be featured in a multi-part documentary series on Fox Nation, starting on November 7.
Previously, Kirk spoke with the New York Times and made an appearance on “The Charlie Kirk Show,” discussing her late husband’s legacy. Charlie Kirk was tragically killed after being shot in the neck on September 10 during a Turning Point USA event at Utah Valley University.
In the aftermath of his assassination, Turning Point’s board elected Erica as the new CEO and chairman, honoring her husband’s wishes. In her inaugural speech, she vowed that the movement he started would not only persist but also grow stronger. She shared a touching moment where her late husband told their three-year-old daughter that he was traveling with Jesus for a “blueberry budget.”
“My husband’s assassins had no idea what they had done. They killed Charlie because he preached a message of patriotism, faith, and the love of God’s mercy. They all know this,” she said. “If you ever thought my husband’s mission was powerful, you have no idea what you’ve unleashed on this entire country, this entire world.”
At her husband’s presidential Medal of Freedom ceremony, Kirk described the award as “a recognition of a life lived in defense of freedom.” She also mentioned her daughter wanted to celebrate her father’s birthday with a “birthday surprise.”
