Biden Aide Discusses Financial Arrangements in New Video
A long-time aide to former President Joe Biden has revealed in a recently surfaced video that Biden could stand to gain up to $8 million if re-elected in 2024.
Michael Donilon, who served as a senior adviser throughout Biden’s presidency, has actually known Biden for many years—dating back to 1981 when Biden was still a senator from Delaware.
Donilon was one of 14 former officials from the Biden administration who participated in a closed-door session at the House Oversight Committee. The meeting focused on allegations that Biden’s aides may have concealed evidence regarding his mental health and that executive orders were signed without his full awareness by using an autopen.
When asked in the video if the money would depend on Biden’s electoral performance, Donilon stated, “My view is that the money was a guarantee that the negotiations took place during the campaign. That’s my recollection of the agreement.”
A committee staff member then questioned him about potential circumstances that might have led to a bonus, to which Donilon affirmed that such circumstances existed.
He elaborated that the situation would be if “Joe Biden would have been reelected as president of the United States,” confirming that the total payout would be $4 million above the already distributed $4 million.
In defense of the substantial sum, he characterized it as a “fair agreement.” However, when probed about the influence a large salary might have on someone’s judgment, he replied, “Well, in the situation you’re discussing, I think the incentive was to keep the president in the race. I ultimately made the decision that he should pull out.”
Footage from Donilon’s interview was released as part of a broader investigation by the House Oversight Committee into Biden’s use of autopen. The committee’s Republican-led report has accused Biden’s aides of actively working to conceal signs of declining cognitive health until he stepped back from the 2024 race.
Chairman James Comer has raised concerns about the validity of executive actions taken with autopen, including numerous clemency orders signed during Biden’s term. He suggested these should be deemed “null and void” and urged the Department of Justice to explore the matter further.
Reacting to these claims, a spokesperson for Biden dismissed the investigation. They emphasized that the findings only reinforce the notion that Biden made his own presidential decisions without any wrongdoing or conspiracy. They added that Congressional Republicans should shift their focus from political retaliation to addressing the ongoing government shutdown.
