Tom Homan Estimates 600,000 Deportations by January

The Biden administration intends to deport 600,000 undocumented immigrants by year’s end, according to statements made Tuesday by White House deportation chief Tom Homan.

“Increasing the number of agents will lead to more arrests—perhaps double or even triple what we’ve seen,” Homan mentioned during an interview. “You can expect those numbers to rise significantly.”

“Counting from January 20th to now, under President Trump, we anticipate exceeding 600,000 deportations by the new year,” Homan added, noting the statistics further.

“Most of those targeted are criminals, and data supports this. As for the remaining 30 to 35 percent, they pose national security risks, often without prior convictions.”

“We focus on those who threaten public safety and national security. But to clarify, no one is exempt—if we locate you, we will take action,” he emphasized.

Homan’s remarks coincided with the Department of Homeland Security’s efforts, bolstered by substantial Congressional funding, to empower Customs and Border Protection managers in running deportation operations in key urban areas.

As government deportation efforts ramp up, there’s also a rise in voluntary departures among undocumented immigrants who fear arrest and penalties for their status.

Officials estimate that around 1.4 million immigrants have opted for voluntary deportation.

Homan remarked that Trump’s approach to deportation and border security has significantly bolstered national safety.

“Our borders are more secure now than ever before. Data confirms that illegal immigration has plummeted by 96%. What does this imply?”

“With 96% fewer individuals attempting the perilous journey, it makes less sense for them to take those risks. Tragically, under the previous administration, more than 4,000 migrants perished during their crossings—the most we’ve seen.”

“Conversely, under the Biden administration, fentanyl has led to the deaths of 250,000 Americans, marking a troubling record. Additionally, sex trafficking has surged to unprecedented levels, with cartels profiting substantially from these crises.”

“The number of individuals on terrorist watch lists has fallen—from 45 under Trump to just 14 now. The concern is significant.”

“Over the last four years, we’ve seen 2.1 million migrants documented, yet many remain untracked—no arrests, no fingerprinting. We have no insights into who they are, their origins, or their intentions, which raises serious questions.”

Homan concluded by asserting that Trump’s border measures are “saving thousands of lives,” explaining:

“Thousands of Americans are alive today because there’s less fentanyl flowing in. We’ve greatly diminished sex trafficking, and now we have better control of who is entering our borders… Over the past four years, 10.5 million people approached our borders, with 2.1 million crossing through.”

“This represents the most significant national security failure I’ve witnessed in this country,” he stated.
