Vice President J.D. Vance to Speak at Turning Point USA Event

Vice President J.D. Vance is set to field questions on Wednesday during a Turning Point USA event at the University of Mississippi, commemorating his friend, Charlie Kirk.

He will be alongside Erica Kirk, Charlie’s widow and the president of Turning Point USA, as part of the “This is the Turning Point” campus tour. Erica plans to introduce Vance and engage with students, emulating her late husband’s style.

While admission is free, attendees need to pre-register, with students receiving priority access. Organizers have announced that there will be security checks, akin to “TSA-style screening,” starting at 3 p.m. ET, ahead of the event which will kick off at 5 p.m. CT.

Fox News is expected to livestream the event from the Ole Miss campus on “Jesse Watters Primetime.”

Additionally, the entire event will be available for online streaming on Fox Nation, followed by the release of a limited series documentary featuring behind-the-scenes content on November 7th.

Aubrey Reitsch, a spokesperson for TPUSA, shared with Fox News Digital that Erica Kirk has chosen to cancel her first campus tour in order to honor her husband’s memory while celebrating his dedication to youth activism and the efforts of the TPUSA team amid this tragic loss. Vance and Erica intend to create a memorable experience for all involved.

Vance mentioned during an earlier appearance on “The Charlie Kirk Show” that his presence at Ole Miss is part of ongoing campus tour efforts. He reflected on the importance of sustaining Charlie’s legacy, saying, “While no one can replace Charlie, if we all do our bit, we can ensure that his mission continues long after he’s gone.”

The Vice President and Erica Kirk shared a close bond with Charlie, who was tragically murdered last month on the campus of Utah Valley University.

Vance acknowledged that being associated with Charlie played a significant role in his legacy. He emphasized that Charlie was not just about discussing issues, but genuinely connecting with people.

Interestingly, this event is the only one that Erica Kirk will attend on her tour. Following this, she is also set to participate in her first sit-down interview since her husband’s death, which will air on Fox News with Jesse Watters on November 5th.
