Benedict Polizzi Sparks Controversy with Halloween Costume

Comedian Benedict Polizzi has once again stirred up a conversation, this time with a provocative Halloween costume.

On Tuesday, he showcased a costume inspired by former New York Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez, who recently faced serious injury and arrest during a violent incident involving an elderly truck driver on October 4th.

Polizzi, who is known for his role on ‘FBoy Island,’ shared the costume with his over one million followers on Instagram. His ensemble featured a white No. 6 Sanchez jersey, soccer pads, exaggerated black eye makeup, and fake blood smeared across his torso.

In early October, Sanchez, 38, endured a life-threatening stabbing during a confrontation with a truck driver in Indianapolis. The individual believed to be involved was later arrested and charged with felony assault causing significant bodily harm, along with three misdemeanor charges, including public intoxication.

Mark Sanchez’s trial is scheduled for December 11. He was excused from a recent pretrial conference as he continues to recover from his injuries after spending a week in the hospital. He expressed to reporters that emergency surgery performed on him had “saved my life.”

This isn’t the first time Polizzi has faced backlash for his provocative attire. Last Halloween, he donned a Peyton Manning Indianapolis Colts jersey and nothing else, making a notable reference to a past sexual assault scandal involving the former player.

Although many of Polizzi’s followers found his costume of Sanchez amusing, he doesn’t appear to be overly concerned about those who were offended. He even commented, “Mean comments get pinned,” alongside his post.
