Sentencing for Chelsea O’Donnell
On October 22, a judge in Wisconsin sentenced Chelsea O’Donnell, Rosie O’Donnell’s daughter, to prison for not adhering to her probation terms.
Court records indicate that Chelsea breached probation conditions. According to officials from a drug treatment program, this stemmed from an alleged sexual assault; however, specifics weren’t provided. They noted there hasn’t been significant progress in her drug rehabilitation program.
Details about the length of her prison term have not been made public.
It was reported that Chelsea has been in custody since September 9 and is set to be transferred to Taycheedah Correctional Facility, a medium-security prison in Wisconsin. Depending on the situation, she could serve her time there or be moved elsewhere, but police haven’t confirmed her exact sentencing.
Chelsea has previously been arrested multiple times on various charges, receiving a six-year suspended sentence in January 2025. Reports suggest that while she will plead guilty to some charges, an agreement has been made to drop others, allowing her to only serve probation during her six-year suspended sentence, provided she remains law-abiding.
Rosie O’Donnell took to social media on October 29 to express her worries for her daughter. She posted a childhood photo of Chelsea, captioning it with her feelings, “My baby Chelsea Bell – before addiction took over her life – I loved her and I still love her now as she faces a terrifying future – Prayers welcome – #AddictionAwareness #Love #Family.”
