Discontent Among Fans at World Series Game
Some baseball enthusiasts were less than thrilled to see Prince Harry and Meghan Markle enjoying VIP treatment at Dodger Stadium during Game 4 of the World Series. It seems that not everyone was pleased with the attention given to the royal couple.
Among the critics was Mets broadcaster Howie Rose, who openly questioned the seating arrangement. In a post, he voiced his surprise that Dodgers legend Sandy Koufax was situated behind the Duke and Duchess. He remarked, “How did Sandy end up in the second row?” suggesting that perhaps Koufax deserved better. After all, Sandy Koufax has a storied history with the team—he certainly didn’t deserve to take a backseat, especially at his own stadium.
Born in Brooklyn, Koufax had a remarkable career with the Dodgers from 1955 to 1966, bagging four World Series championships while earning multiple accolades. He was a prominent figure in baseball, being a seven-time All-Star and a three-time Cy Young Award winner. In 1965, he even pitched a no-hitter, a feat that remains among the highlights of MLB history. It’s hard to argue against his qualifications for a top-notch seat at such a prestigious event.
As the game unfolded, it was hard to miss Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s noticeable presence. Many fans quickly spotted that they were positioned in a luxury area, seemingly enjoying the game in the company of Koufax and another sports icon, Magic Johnson.
The star-studded Game 4 drew an impressive crowd, filled with celebrities such as LeBron James and Brad Pitt. The Dodgers and Blue Jays matchup, which ended up tying the series at 2-2, really had the Hollywood allure that keeps fans coming back.
Markle even made a post on Instagram, sharing a friendly moment with Prince Harry and Magic Johnson, capturing their evening in a way that resonated with fans. In a world where royal presence can stir mixed feelings, here, it added a layer of intrigue to America’s favorite pastime.
