Orlando, Fla. — Trump Administration’s Health Plan Costs Unveiled

The Trump administration has shared the financial details of its Affordable Care Act plan for 2026, as lawmakers continue to clash over subsidies and the ongoing federal government shutdown.

This information indicates that many of the 4.7 million Floridians who purchase insurance through the Marketplace might see their monthly payments rise significantly—potentially by hundreds of dollars.

An analysis by WFTV focused on the expected premiums for single women aged 35 and 55, with annual incomes of $70,000, which is about the average salary in Orange County and a bit above the average for other Central Florida counties.

On average, those paying full price for their plans might experience a 25% increase, with the steepest hikes hitting those aged 35.

Older Floridians and those with lower incomes will benefit from subsidies. However, individuals relying on subsidies that are set to expire at year’s end could face premium increases of up to 200%.

Here’s a summary of the monthly costs for the least expensive plan in each category. Orange County is included due to its large population, while Brevard and Marion are noted for their affordability.
