Reporter embarrasses Kamala Harris regarding Biden's health concealment: 'That is a top-notch distraction'

Former Democratic presidential hopeful Kamala Harris had a somewhat uncomfortable moment during an interview when a journalist questioned her about Joe Biden’s perceived “weaknesses.”

Sarah Ferguson from the Australian Broadcasting Corporation pointed out that many Americans are aware of Biden’s decline, yet no leader from the Democratic Party seems willing to address it publicly. In light of this silence, she inquired how such a cover-up impacted Harris’s campaign.

“Are you still hesitant to criticize the former president?” Ferguson pressed.

Harris responded indirectly, suggesting that there were no real issues. “Is your refusal to see weaknesses part of why you’ve faced such difficulties?” Ferguson continued.

Instead of addressing the visible concerns, Harris shifted the focus back to Trump and withdrew from the discussion.

“I’m running for president against Donald Trump,” Harris stated. “Trump essentially misrepresented his intentions to the American public. Many of his voters believed he would lower prices from day one, but he didn’t.”

During Harris’s lengthy reply, Ferguson called her out, saying, “I need to jump in because this is a crucial point, but the question is really about Biden. Are you still reluctant to point out his failures?”

As Ferguson noted, it seems that even Harris and other former Biden aides are cautious about highlighting his weaknesses.

“He wasn’t weak as president,” Harris insisted.

“Yet he had weaknesses,” Ferguson countered. “We all observed that.”

Looking somewhat taken aback, Harris made one last effort to defend Biden’s qualification for the presidency. “I firmly believe Biden was capable of being president, and I have never doubted that,” she said. However, she added, “In my book, I expressed concerns about whether he could withstand the pressures of the U.S. presidential race in the upcoming 2024 environment.”
