Spokesperson criticizes far-left podcaster for remarks about Charlie Kirk's death

Response to Invective Commentary on Charlie Kirk

Andrew Corbett from Turning Point USA has reacted to a recent remark by podcaster Jennifer Welch, who, in an interview, suggested that voters should take a cue from the “No Kings” protesters who celebrated the death of Charlie Kirk.

“Listen up, Democratic establishment folks,” Welch stated during the “I’ve Had It” podcast. “You can either get on board with this, or we’ll pursue you much like we do MAGA supporters. Simple as that.”

She went on, expressing praise for figures like Bernie Sanders and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, asserting that many people view Kirk as a racist and a bad person.

“There are far more of us than there are of them,” she added, criticizing Democrats for allegedly siding with corporations and lobbyists. “Nobody wants that.”

Erica Kirk Speaks Out Following Her Husband’s Death

Corbett shared his thoughts on this topic during a segment on “America’s Newsroom,” describing Welch’s comments as troubling. He contrasted her approach with that of Erica Kirk, Charlie Kirk’s widow, who recently delivered an emotional speech at Ole Miss.

Dialogue Over Divisiveness

Corbett pointed out that Welch may be drawing attention, but he doesn’t see her as a source of inspiration for anyone. He emphasized the need for open dialogue and understanding among individuals.

“If those kinds of voices were to gain prominence, it would spell trouble for our country,” he noted. “I hope that leaders like J.D. Vance and Erica Kirk will instead foster the necessary discussions that treat one another as fellow Americans.”

Charlie Kirk, the co-founder of Turning Point USA, was the organization’s executive director until his tragic assassination on September 10th at a university in Utah. In his absence, Vice President Vance joined Erica Kirk on the Ole Miss campus, engaging with a large audience and upholding the organization’s mission.
