Daughter of New York nanny facing squatting allegations says she kicked out her mother for the same reasons.

The estranged daughter of a nanny from upstate New York, who’s facing accusations of illegally occupying her employer’s home, has stated that her mother has caused similar issues in her own life. According to sources, Barbara Molnár’s daughter claims her parents are being misrepresented as troublemakers.

In a recent article, she noted that although her mother has had significant mental health struggles, she’s also shown considerable talent—albeit hindered by insecurity. “My mother has a history of refusing help, and her behavior with this family reflects what she’s done to me and my kids before she worked for them,” the daughter shared, preferring to remain unnamed.

Initially, Molnar responded defensively to her daughter’s assertions during a tense phone call. She even lashed out at a friend who answered the call and criticized media coverage. Later, however, she sent a text declaring her willingness to contest the allegations in court.

“The truth will emerge in court, with solid evidence that will provide my answers,” Molnar asserted. She further suggested that they would see who the real “mentally ill” individual is if concrete evidence surfaced.

Molnar’s situation drew public scrutiny after Jamie Carano Nordenstrom and her husband accused her of transforming from a dream nanny to a disruptive force in their home, creating chaos with their newborn daughter.

Jamie reported that Molnar didn’t clean properly and even allowed her son’s friends to throw a pool party while they were away. When the situation deteriorated and Molnar was dismissed, the couple’s attorney requested a 10-day notice for her resignation, a notice that Molnar didn’t seem to comply with.

In their eviction petition, the new parents labeled her a “professional fraudster.” Meanwhile, Molnar has consistently denied these charges and told the media that she sees herself as the real victim of the narrative being spun about her.

Previously married to prominent restaurateur Fabio Granato, Molnar shares three children with him, including her eldest daughter. This daughter mentioned that Molnar moved in with her and her teenage son last June, as she was homeless at the time. She thought this might help rebuild their relationship, believing her mother was improving.

However, due to Molnar’s erratic behavior, she was asked to leave in early August without incident. While she did not go into specifics about her mother’s actions, the daughter felt it important to protect her own children’s privacy and noted that it mirrored what she had read in the stories surrounding the Nordenstrom case.

She recounted having a tumultuous relationship with her mother since her teenage years, often oscillating between estrangement and attempts at connection. Yet, she also acknowledged the creative support Molnar provided during her early career aspirations.

Reflecting on her mother, she noted, “What she is now is not who I remember. She was beautiful, charismatic, and brimming with ideas and talent.” Despite her own struggles with their relationship, she expressed a deep sense of sadness for her mother’s lost potential.

“It’s a tragic situation,” she said. “She has potential but circumstances changed her. I really don’t think she is acting with intent; she’s just genuinely unstable.”

When approached for comment about Molnar’s denials, Jamie Nordenstrom chose not to respond.
