Last Sunday, HBO launched IT: Welcome to Delhi, a series that brings Stephen King’s tale to a new generation. Fans are introduced to a fresh group of “losers” battling the ominous Pennywise, portrayed by Bill Skarsgård. If you’ve caught the first episode, “The Pilot,” it’s apparent that the show isn’t shy about making shocking choices—like, by the end, we see at least four lesser characters meet a grim fate at the hands of Pennywise. It leaves you wondering—will the next episode be just as brutal? When can we expect to see more of IT: Welcome to Delhi on HBO?

This adaptation is set in 1962, almost three decades before the events of Andy Muschietti’s initial film version. We meet Major Leroy Hanlon, played by Jovan Adepo, who is stationed in Derry, Maine due to the Air Force’s Cold War operations. He’s a Korean War vet hoping for a peaceful life with his family in an “ordinary” American town, but, I think deep down he realizes, Derry is anything but safe for kids. The Hanlons are about to settle in just as Pennywise begins another cycle of terror.

Episode 2 was available on HBO Max early on Friday, leading up to Halloween. If you’re curious about when it will air on regular HBO, you’ll be glad to know that it’s set to premiere tonight.
