Britney Spears has reportedly removed her Instagram account following viral videos of her erratic behavior that sparked major concern within her family.
As of Sunday, her Instagram was no longer accessible, with a notification stating, “Sorry, this page is unavailable.” It was indicated by Instagram that “the page may have been deleted.”
Nonetheless, her account on X is still operational.
This unexpected social media decision comes after Spears was caught on camera driving dangerously while returning home after a night out with friends last month. A video shared by Page Six shows her black BMW convertible crossing into oncoming traffic.
A manager at the Red O Restaurant in Westlake, California, who interacted with Spears before she drove, noted that she was “not intoxicated” during their time at the restaurant.
Oliver Wynn, the manager, shared with Us Weekly, “She was very calm and really sweet. She just hung out, took a bite and left.” He continued, “I was surprised by how kind she actually was. I’ve seen many celebrities, but Britney stood out as one of the nicest.”
Later, Spears provided her Instagram followers with a bizarre explanation regarding her driving, suggesting that perhaps she had been confused.
She wrote, “In case anyone was wondering if that lookalike wasn’t me…🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️🤓.”
Despite her attempt at humor, the footage of her erratic driving reportedly alarmed her family, drawing parallels to her behavior before her 2007 breakdown, when she lost custody of her two sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James, whom she shares with ex-husband Kevin Federline.
A source expressed, “There are a lot of concerns. Everyone wants what’s best for her, but she’s making decisions that seem wrong.”
The situation becomes more complex as Spears recently hit the news because of revelations from Federline’s memoir, “You Thought You Knew,” which contained serious allegations against her. Spears has since responded to these claims, with her publicist suggesting that Federline is financially benefiting from their past relationship.
