Bills Secure Fifth Straight Win Over Chiefs

On Sunday night, the Buffalo Bills claimed their fifth consecutive regular-season victory against the Kansas City Chiefs, edging out with a score of 28-21. Josh Allen showcased his skills, outperforming Patrick Mahomes, and the team’s defense made significant improvements.

Allen was responsible for three touchdowns—two on the ground and one through the air. The sole passing touchdown was caught by Dalton Kincaid, who had an impressive game with six receptions for 101 yards.

This victory marked a record for Allen against Mahomes in the regular season. The Bills have not lost to Kansas City in the regular season since October 2020, when the Chiefs won 26-17. As Buffalo looks to keep pace with the New England Patriots in the AFC East, they’ll need to establish their strength in the postseason, especially since they haven’t defeated the Chiefs in the playoffs since January 1994.

Interestingly, it seems the Bills have figured out how to contain Mahomes, despite the quarterback’s ability to connect on deep passes. Mahomes completed 15 of 34 attempts for 250 yards, with one interception—a notably tough outing for him since it was the first time in over a year that he didn’t throw a touchdown pass.

Buffalo’s defense held the Chiefs to just 305 yards across ten drives, a commendable achievement considering Mahomes’s track record. Meanwhile, Laci Rice led the Bills receiving corps with four catches for 80 yards, scoring early on with a rushing touchdown.

With this win, Buffalo improved its record to 6-2, while Kansas City fell to 5-4. The performances on both sides leave fans questioning what the future holds for these two competitive teams.
