Injury Clouds Jaden Daniels’ Future After Commanders’ Loss
In a tough turn of events for the Washington Commanders, quarterback Jaden Daniels’ prospects for the 2025 season were severely impacted following a nasty arm injury during their 38-14 defeat against the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday evening.
As the game wore on and the Commanders fell behind 38-7 in the fourth quarter, Daniels attempted to rally his team. Unfortunately, while scrambling near the goal line, he was awkwardly tackled. He landed on his non-throwing shoulder, and it was clear he was in considerable pain as the training staff rushed to his aid.
Despite the grim situation, Daniels managed to leave the field on his own, though he seemed to be protecting his left arm.
This isn’t the first setback for the second-year quarterback this season. Just last week, he missed the game against the Kansas City Chiefs due to a right hamstring issue, although he had practiced leading up to the clash with Seattle.
During the game, Daniels completed 16 out of 22 passes for 153 yards, contributing 51 rushing yards along with a rushing touchdown, showing moments of brilliance even amidst the hardship.
Seattle capitalized on the game, with Sam Darnold emerging healthy, contrasting Washington’s struggles. Daniels, who had previously been named Offensive Rookie of the Year after a successful season that almost led to a Super Bowl appearance, has faced injuries that have hindered both his and the team’s progress this year.
