Vikings QB JJ McCarthy’s Fiancée Reacts to Analysts’ Predictions
JJ McCarthy, the quarterback for the Vikings, recently saw his fiancée, Katya Klopas, share a humorous response to the NFL Network analysts who unanimously chose the Lions to win against Minnesota this past Sunday.
She posted a screenshot of the analysts’ predictions on her Instagram Story, adding a grinning emoji after the Vikings emerged victorious with a 27-24 win at Ford Field.
McCarthy, who returned from a five-game absence due to an ankle sprain, played a pivotal role in the victory by throwing two touchdown passes and rushing for another, leading the team to a 24-14 advantage in the third quarter.
He completed 14 of 25 passes for 143 yards during the game.
The couple, who celebrated seven years together last month, also welcomed their first child, a baby boy named Roma Mika, in September. Klopas shared a cute photo of her son sporting a soccer outfit, captioning it, “Dada’s biggest fan.”
McCarthy, who missed his entire rookie season due to a knee injury, expressed his emotional journey after the game, saying, “It was great. Being on IR last year and away from the team for five weeks was tough for me, as I really enjoy being around everyone.”
He emphasized the mutual support between him and the team, stating, “I know they had my back, and I had theirs the rest of the way.”
With this win, Minnesota improved to a 4-4 record and is set to face the Ravens next week.
Earlier this month, Klopas mentioned that they plan to tie the knot by their next anniversary. McCarthy and Klopas began dating in high school at Nazareth Academy in La Grange Park, Illinois, and they got engaged in January 2024.
McCarthy proposed shortly after leading the Wolverines to a national championship in his last season with the team.
In January 2024, Michigan, as the top seed, defeated Washington, the second seed, with a score of 34-13 at NRG Stadium.
