Katherine Schwarzenegger Pratt Talks About Leaving Hollywood
Katherine Schwarzenegger Pratt has set some criteria for leaving Hollywood. In a conversation, she shared insights about what might prompt her to step away from the entertainment industry.
She expressed a desire to move wherever her family goes. “I can see myself moving wherever my mom, dad, and brothers are moving with my husband and me and our kids. So wherever that is, we can come together as a team and decide together where we want to go,” she mentioned.
For context, Katherine is the daughter of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver. The couple has four adult children: Katherine, Christina, Patrick, and Christopher. Arnold also has a son, Joseph Baena, from another relationship.
“I see myself moving wherever my mom, dad, and brothers are moving with my husband and I and our kids,” she reiterated, emphasizing the importance of her family’s presence in her decision-making. “It’s crucial for me to be near my parents and siblings, and having that connection for our children is a true blessing.”
Katherine recently published a book titled “Cat and Brandy.” She noted that she wouldn’t consider moving anywhere unless her family is involved.
“Honestly, I’d like to live anywhere abundant with animals,” she said, hinting at her love for wildlife, but her family remains a priority. “Having a home base where my family is allows me to enjoy that preference while staying close to them.”
As for her new book, it explores heartwarming tales about the bonds formed between animals and humans, and how those relationships can profoundly impact children’s lives.
Katherine pulls from her own childhood experiences in crafting the book. The title, “Cat and Brandy,” refers to her and her horse, reflecting themes of love and connection. “Most of it comes from my personal childhood. Sharing activities with my mom allowed me to conquer my fears while spending time in nature,” she explained.
She found great value in incorporating her children’s honest feedback during the writing process. “Kids are great for that. Their perspectives help me adjust my work,” Katherine said.
As a mother to three children with Chris Pratt, she delights in watching their sibling dynamics evolve. “The sweetest part of being a mom is seeing their relationships blossom. Having siblings as best friends is something very special to me,” she reflected.
“Cat and Brandy” is now available for purchase.
