Kansas City Chiefs’ Travis Kelce Focuses on Upcoming Game
The Kansas City Chiefs are on a bye week, but it seems Travis Kelce isn’t using this time for rest. At 36, Kelce shared that his attention is fully on the upcoming game against the Denver Broncos, the first opponent after the bye. “I’m thinking about how we’re going to beat the Denver Broncos. That’s on my mind for the next two weeks,” he mentioned during a recent podcast episode.
His brother, Jason Kelce, cheekily asked if Travis had any vacation plans, inquiring about any fun activities he had lined up. “Well, at least for the next week, try to focus on something a little different. What are you doing?” he said, clearly interested. To which Travis quickly replied, “No, that’s not possible.”
The Chiefs recently faced off against the Buffalo Bills, losing 28-21, which pushed their record to 5-4 this season. As it stands, if the season were to end after Week 9, the Chiefs would miss the playoffs. In that game, Kelce had four receptions totaling 66 yards. So far this season, he has racked up 41 catches for 540 yards and three touchdowns.
Interestingly, despite the team’s struggles, Kelce’s yardage is currently the highest among all tight ends in the league. Looking ahead, the Chiefs are set to clash with the Broncos on November 16. The anticipation for that matchup is growing, especially given the Chiefs’ need to turn their season around.
