Todd Snyder Cancels Tour After Violent Assault
Todd Snyder has had to cancel his tour due to “serious injuries” from an alleged violent assault in Utah, according to an announcement from his team.
The 59-year-old musician pulled the plug on his “Lonely Days Tour” after being treated at Holy Cross Hospital post-incident. Reports indicate he was allegedly assaulted outside a hotel against his will.
After his hospitalization, Snyder returned to the hospital and subsequently faced charges of disorderly conduct, trespassing, and making violent threats, as per the Salt Lake County Sheriff’s Office.
The cancellation notice mentioned, “It is with heavy hearts that we announce the cancellation of our 2025 ‘High Lonesome and Then Some’ tour dates.” It continued, stating Snyder was “violently assaulted” before a scheduled show in Salt Lake City.
The announcement indicated that he would be unavailable for an unknown period, expressing deep apologies for the cancellation and the resulting inconvenience.
They also said they appreciated the understanding from fans as Snyder gets the treatment he needs, promising to provide updates about future dates soon.
Salt Lake City police are currently looking into the alleged assault against Snyder, who was supposed to perform at the Commonwealth Room.
Detective Michael Ruff shared that Snyder had allegedly returned to the hospital afterward and threatened staff members, even though he had already been treated and released.
Snyder’s tour had just begun last week in Colorado. He was set to perform in Phoenix on Monday, with a Hollywood stop on Tuesday, and several West Coast shows lined up later this month. The timeline for resuming the tour remains uncertain.
