Kansas City Chiefs’ Travis Kelce Suffers Hit Against Buffalo Bills

Travis Kelce, the standout tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs, recently took a notable hit during a game against the Buffalo Bills. While attempting to secure a pass from Patrick Mahomes in the end zone just before halftime, he was struck high by Bills defensive back Cole Bishop. After the collision, Kelce took a moment to gather himself before making his way off the field.

As the clock ticked down to halftime, Kelce headed to the locker room, but not before engaging in some playful trash talk with Bills fans.

During a recent episode of “New Heights,” Kelce reflected on that challenging moment. “The wind blew me out and I got caught. I got pinched. I know I’m okay, but hey…” he said, mimicking the act of catching his breath, which suggested some lingering frustration.

He expressed some irritation over his situation. “Please go into the blue tent?” he recounted someone telling him. “Why would I go to the game? It was halftime! I had to be evaluated in the locker room. What was this about?”

With a hint of humor, he shared his confusion: “What day is it today? Sunday? What? … After the concussion or before, I can’t even remember who I played last week!” His mix of exasperation and light-heartedness was evident.

Kelce complimented Bills fans for their spirited banter and added that he felt lucky to continue playing at Highmark Stadium. As for the Chiefs, they hold a 5-4 record this season and currently find themselves outside the playoff picture as of Week 10. Kelce is making an impact on the field, leading all tight ends with 540 yards, along with 41 catches and three touchdowns on 53 targets.

The Chiefs are set to enjoy a bye week in Week 10, giving the team a short break to regroup.
