Kelly Clarkson reacted with anger over comments made by her former manager, who suggested she should consider breast implants.
This incident came to light during her performance at the “Kelly Clarkson: Studio Sessions” residency in Las Vegas this past Saturday.
As she was about to sing her last song, she playfully adjusted her revealing jumpsuit and quipped into the microphone, “Are your boobs showing? Oh yeah,” which got a chuckle from the audience.
Clarkson then hesitated, pondering whether to share her story. Eventually, she recounted a moment when her dad’s manager had pushed her to undergo breast enhancement surgery.
Reflecting on the request, the “American Idol” winner recalled her sharp response: “Why don’t you get a job in advertising? I’m fine with tiny boobs! Get out of here. Drive a big old car and make up for it.”
Describing the unnamed executive as “disgusting,” Clarkson expressed disbelief, saying, “Who says that? People say that! They say that to people in the industry all the time. They say the craziest things. I’m like, ‘This is not normal. They’ve normalized something crazy.'”
She also took a jab at celebrities who seem to have gone overboard with cosmetic procedures, stating, “Everyone here looks like they’re in the Capitol in The Hunger Games.”
Addressing her former manager directly, she added, “Really! Don’t let me do you, okay?…I like my little tits. They’ve served me well.”
In her personal life, Clarkson is a mother to two children, daughter River, 11, and son Remington “Remy,” 9, from her marriage to Brandon Blackstock, who tragically passed away in August after battling melanoma.
In November 2023, following their contentious divorce almost two years earlier, Blackstock was ordered to return over $2.5 million in fees that had been improperly charged to Clarkson.
