Chaos brews on the left side of Hollywood as U.S. Senate Democrats collaborate with Republicans to address the government shutdown by approving a measure to reopen it.
The Democrats seem to be softening their rigid position, agreeing to a new short-term budget. This shift has left some in Hollywood’s far-left camp quite displeased, especially as it means that struggling Americans will regain their much-needed benefits.
Many creators and actors from Tinseltown took to social media, voicing their frustration with Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer in particular, accusing him of yielding and supporting the government reopening. Notable critics included Rob Delaney, Jon Cryer, Bradley Whitford, Michael Ian Black, and Whoopi Goldberg.

Remember, all House members are up for re-election next year unlike the Senate. Maybe we should focus here. If you have certain senators (like those from PA, IL, ME, NV, NH, VA) who are seen as wobbly, put pressure on them if they want your support.

The eight Democrats who broke away are primarily centrists and seem to have recently learned from the “Susan Collins School of No Courage,” which teaches one prevailing lesson: ‘Nothing is worth fighting for.’
