The Ongoing Dispute Between Patricia Altschul and Todd Chrisley
The conflict between Patricia Altschul and Todd Chrisley is heating up.
After being pardoned by President Donald Trump, Todd and his wife, Julie, have recently settled in Charleston, South Carolina. They’re now planning a new reality series that will document the renovation and launch of a hotel.
In reaction to this development, Altschul took to Instagram, expressing that his “neighborhood is gone.” Todd didn’t hold back his feelings; he responded with a heated tirade, even applauding her remark on his podcast.
“He’s totally irrelevant. I made a simple statement—just four words—and he went on to do an entire show about me,” Altschul remarked in a Zoom interview. “It was just a throwaway comment,” he added.
But Altschul, known for his role in Southern Charm, commented further: “Charleston doesn’t need more felons.”
Todd has a controversial past, having been indicted in 2019 for several charges, including wire fraud. Despite maintaining his innocence, he was sentenced to 19 years in federal prison. After they completed their sentences this year, their daughter Savannah lobbied for their release, culminating in a pardon from Trump in May.
Following Altschul’s comments about potentially moving to Charleston, Todd spoke on his podcast. He mentioned, “I’ve never had issues with her… I’ve always respected her. She’s an elegant woman.” He added, “She’s in her 80s; she could be my mother.”
Todd advised his fans against targeting Altschul: “I said, ‘Please don’t retaliate against this old lady. That wouldn’t be right,'” he explained. He also noted rumors about her assets being transferred to her son, suggesting that she might be preparing for the end of her life.
As the exchanges continued, Todd further stated, “She shouldn’t concern herself with my earnings. At my age, who knows? I could end up marrying someone like Patricia and inheriting her wealth. It’s a timeless scenario: a young woman marries an older man and eventually benefits from his passing.” He even joked that he might end up as her caregiver, potentially raising the eyebrows of her son about who might inherit.
Todd is clearly not backing down, but this may be far from over, as Altschul has yet to respond with her final thoughts.
