Attractive influencers using AI pets to gain more attention

How Much Is That AI Puppy in Your Browser Window?

Generative AI has recently made waves on social media, transforming everything from Studio Ghibli-inspired visuals to quirky pet alterations. Now, “hot girl” influencers are catching attention by incorporating adorable animals into their photos, reminiscent of scenes from live-action Disney films.

This trend was highlighted in a viral post where users shared images with AI-generated creatures—everything from tiny rabbits to large horses. One user on X, @jameygammon, pointed out that many influencers are joining in this magical movement.

“Sexy girls are starting to use the AI trend I’m seeing: photo surrealism with cute animals,” she commented, and her video has accumulated an impressive 15 million views.

The internet is now brimming with Cinderella-esque content creators posing alongside these virtual companions. A fashion influencer based in Germany, Anna Wine, showcased a digital image of herself with flashy Dalmatian puppies, declaring, “I’m the only one living my dreams.”

In a separate post, a Spanish influencer named Julia channeled Snow White, posing with a group of AI-generated fawns. It seems some are even sharing tips on how to become virtual animal whisperers, utilizing various online AI tools. Platforms like Google Gemini Creator or the freely available aistudio.google.com are popular choices for this.

To get started with these tools, users simply upload a full-body photo and specify the types of virtual pets they want to see; for instance, “Add three realistic Goldendoodles lying at my feet—two sitting and one standing, wagging its tail.”

However, reactions to this trend are quite mixed. Some critics are baffled, asking, “Why would you use AI to run a horse into a hallway?” Others are torn, with one person saying, “I can’t decide if this is cool or scary.” Meanwhile, a lighthearted suggestion was made to “let’s go volunteer at an animal shelter.”

Yet, several supporters rushed to the influencers’ defense, stating, “You can’t hate cute girls and puppies.” Another person remarked that they could relate, saying, “I don’t blame them; scrolling through tons of information isn’t appealing.”

While the excitement surrounding this trend is palpable, there are growing concerns about the rise of hyper-realistic animal deepfakes on social media. Critics, particularly conservatives, have targeted AI-created wildlife content that features surreal interactions, like a fox and a cat playing together.

A recent study published in a conservation biology journal pointed out that these anthropomorphized clips portray unrealistic behaviors and relationships, potentially leading viewers to act in ways that endanger both animals and themselves. The dangers of digital fiction might just be as real as they seem.
