Dasha Nekrasova Fired from Talent Agency Following Controversial Podcast
Dasha Nekrasova, known for her role in “Succession” and as a podcaster, has been let go by her talent agency, Gersh, after a contentious episode of her podcast.
A representative from the agency confirmed the decision, as reported by various sources.
The 34-year-old actress faced this consequence after hosting far-right commentator Nick Fuentes on her podcast, “Red Scare,” alongside co-host Anna Kachyan.
The episode, which aired on October 10, delved into a number of sensitive topics, including Fuentes’ rise to notoriety, immigration issues, the assassination of Charlie Kirk, vaccinations, and even Kanye West.
The agency has been contacted for additional comments.
Nekrasova portrayed Comfrey Peritz, a crisis PR agent on Kendall Roy’s team, for nine episodes in “Succession.” She has also been featured in shows like “The Serpent,” “Dickinson,” “Mr. Robot,” “The Materialists,” and “The Scary of Sixty-First.”
This isn’t the first instance of controversy surrounding Nekrasova. In a 2023 New Yorker piece, she claimed: “Francis is not the real pope, we all know that… We’re not going to get rid of the Freemasons. We’re not going to get rid of the Jews. They invaded the church a long time ago.”
On the other hand, Fuentes has attracted criticism from both sides of the political spectrum. Leading the “Groyper” movement, he has been accused of promoting racism and anti-Semitism.
Originally from Chicago, Fuentes has made numerous inflammatory comments over the years.
He’s known for pushing conspiracy theories about “Jewish control” in American politics, media, and finance, and has controversially denied the Holocaust while calling for a so-called “holy war” against Jewish individuals.
During his podcast appearances, Fuentes has made statements suggesting that those he deems “evil” should face death and has lauded Adolf Hitler.
His rhetoric has been widely condemned by Jewish organizations, civil rights advocates, and political figures who assert that it spreads hate and violence.
Recently, Fuentes stirred further controversy by appearing on Tucker Carlson’s podcast, where he made remarks about “organized Jews” without facing any challenge from Carlson.
Fuentes’ own podcast, “America First,” was permanently banned from Spotify due to breaches of the platform’s hate speech guidelines.
A spokesperson from Spotify clarified that they removed the show in 2020 due to repeated violations of their policies.
While the podcast has been banned, Fuentes himself is not prohibited from the platform. He can still create new content and guest on other shows as long as he adheres to the rules.
Spotify stated that their policies target content violating their guidelines, not the creators themselves. They also actively removed attempts to re-upload any of Fuentes’ previously deleted episodes.
