Sarah Ferguson is facing new challenges as the repercussions from her ex-husband Andrew’s ties to Jeffrey Epstein unravel. Initially, a statement from The Bookseller suggested that she was about to release her new book, Flora and Fern: Kindness on the Way. The book was meant to be available on October 9, but recently, its release date was pushed to November 20. However, as of this past weekend, it has disappeared from the website.
NielsonIQ Book Data has confirmed to the BBC that the book was “withdrawn from sale” at the request of the publisher. Sarah has a prolific writing career, having published over 50 books mostly aimed at children.
The last few weeks have been particularly tough for both Sarah and Andrew, once known as Prince, after leaked emails showed they had been in contact with Epstein, contradicting their earlier declaration to sever ties with him. Andrew, now Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, has received an eviction notice from his extensive Royal Lodge residence after his brother, the King, hastily stripped him of his title.
Interestingly, Sarah and Andrew have maintained a partnership since 2008, but they are now parting ways. Andrew is expected to reside at King Sandringham’s estate in Norfolk; however, Sarah’s future living arrangement remains unclear. It’s been suggested that she might leave the UK to live with her daughter, Princess Eugenie, and her husband Jack Brooksbank in a luxurious home in Portugal.
Amidst the growing controversy, there are claims that Sarah is becoming “increasingly nervous,” reportedly feeling isolated and overwhelmed as deliveries pile up at her Windsor mansion.
Emails released in September revealed Sarah’s past sentiments, where she referred to Epstein as “steady, generous, and my best friend” in a correspondence from 2011. This correspondence surfaced shortly after she characterized her friendship with him as a “terrible and egregious error in judgment,” firmly stating that she would have nothing more to do with him.
These revelations have led to Sarah’s removal from seven charities she was involved with. Meanwhile, the King has decisively stripped Andrew of his title and has taken steps to formally exile him from the Royal Lodge in Windsor due to mounting pressure surrounding his association with Epstein.
Andrew continues to face serious accusations regarding his relationships with Virginia Giuffre, who has alleged that they had encounters when she was trafficked by Epstein at just 17. Andrew has consistently denied these allegations.
The timing of Giuffre’s memoir release last month coincided with the public disclosure of the damaging emails about Epstein and Andrew, and revelations that Andrew had gone two decades without paying rent on his lavish home, intensifying scrutiny on him.
